Korean software process quality certification
This voluntary Korean scheme can support public software technical evaluations. It is not a general condition for starting a software business.
Korean certification schemes and international standards are different. A translated guide does not extend a Korean certificate to other countries. Confirm the target market, product classification and current requirements with the relevant body.

Timing depends on evidence readiness and the number of organizations and projects assessed. Plan application, scheduling, contracting and on-site assessment separately.

The administration fee includes VAT. Assessment fees and expenses depend on application type and organization size. Funding has separate eligibility and budget conditions.

- Confirm institutional testing, assessment and registration fees separately in the contract.
- Development fixes, clinical studies where applicable, security equipment and infrastructure operations may require separate budgets.
- Confirm internal staffing, travel, translation, VAT, surveillance and renewal costs in the quotation.
Questions and answers
How does SP differ from GS?
GS tests product quality; SP assesses organizational development and management processes.
Can we simply create new procedures?
You also need real requirements, management and verification records showing that those procedures were followed.
Does funding guarantee a 50% reduction in total cost?
Support applies to eligible SME assessment fees excluding VAT, subject to conditions and budget. It is not half of all project costs.
